Once Upon a Time

Day 1: Arrival to Costa Rica


Welcome to Costa Rica, the most biodiverse country in the world! Upon arrival, your driver will be waiting for you outside the airport. He will give you all the information you need for your stay in Costa Rica, and then he will take you to your hotel (approximately 20 minutes from the airport, depending on traffic).


Hotel Grano de Oro or similar (meals not included)

Day 2: Arenal Volcano National Park


After breakfast, you will receive your 4WD vehicle at your hotel. Once you have your vehicle, you will drive to La Fortuna, one of the best places to enjoy the beauty of the majestic Arenal Volcano. In the town of La Fortuna, you can enjoy various activities. The area has a lot to offer and is considered by many to be one of the most spectacular places in Costa Rica. Travel time takes approximately 5 hours (depending on traffic).


Hotel Tabacón Resort or similar (breakfast and dinner included)

Day 3: Arenal Volcano National Park

Today is a free day. In the beautiful area of La Fortuna, you can do optional activities. For example, you can hike to Arenal Volcano National Park or you can visit the hanging bridges. You can also relax in the hot springs at your hotel. The hot springs, which are small, heated pools of water, are included and arguably the biggest tourist attraction in the area. Your options here are endless.

Hotel Tabacón Resort or similar (breakfast and dinner included)

Day 4: Monteverde Cloud Forest

Your next destination is the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Known for its natural beauty, Monteverde is the perfect place for nature lovers. The trip takes about 3-4 hours (depending on traffic). In the afternoon, you can relax at the hotel or you can visit the village and its surroundings.

Day 5: Monteverde Cloud Forest

Take advantage of your day off to relax and unwind in the hotel or enjoy some optional activities (not included). You can visit the hanging bridges - a platform of suspended bridges and trails through the forest - or you can go on a canopy tour - an adrenaline-filled adventure where you glide along cables in the middle of the tropical forest. You can also visit the snake sanctuary or butterfly garden. Monteverde is one of the most important places in Costa Rica for bird watching.

 

Hotel Koora or similar (breakfast and dinner included)

Day 6: Manuel Antonio

The trip continues today to Manuel Antonio National Park in the Central Pacific. Manuel Antonio is one of the most beautiful parks in Costa Rica. It is known for its beautiful white sand beaches, which are ideal for swimming, and is surrounded by rainforest for nature lovers.

Days 7 & 8: Manuel Antonio

For these two days, we recommend you do some optional activities (not included). You can walk through the national park, join a kayak, rafting, or canopy tour or go horseback riding. If you prefer, you can simply relax and enjoy the comforts of the hotel.


Hotel Si Como No or similar (breakfast and dinner included)

Day 9: Return to San José

After your well-deserved vacation, you will return to the city of San José where you must return your rental vehicle before 4:00pm. The rest of the afternoon and evening is free for you to rest or visit the surrounding area.

A member of our team will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the airport.
